Sustainability at NORIT

Out of Responsibility for Future Generations

For NORIT, sustainable construction means taking ecological, social, and economic responsibility. As a manufacturer of construction products and a building specialist, we develop future-proof and circular solutions that not only meet the highest quality and environmental standards, but also conserve resources and promote the use of recyclable materials.

For us, sustainability is not a trend, but a core guiding principle that we actively live by. This is demonstrated, among other things, through:

    • NORIT products contain wood-based components and are certified as 100% FSC™ Recycled.

    • Healthy Construction: The Institute for Building Biology Rosenheim (IBR) tests our materials and products for harmful substances – ensuring a healthy indoor climate and greater well-being.

    • Recycling and Circular Economy: We consistently rely on recycled raw materials from our own recycling facility and develop products that are fully dismantlable – for example, our NORIT-ReTro Therm system.

    • Energy Consumption: Through comprehensive quality, energy, and environmental management, we minimize energy consumption and consistently reduce emissions.

    • Sentinel Holding: From DGNB and QNG to BNB and the EU Taxonomy, the product passport provides tailored documentation for a wide range of certifications. Lindner GFT GmbH already relies on this innovative solution: its gypsum fibre products, NORIT underfloor heating and NORIT dry screed, are listed in the SHI database. This allows you to directly benefit from the advantages of the SHI product passport.

    Sustainable Construction with a System

We minimize environmental impacts throughout the entire product lifecycle – from raw material extraction and production to the reintegration of materials into the recycling loop. One example is our gypsum fibre boards, which can be cleanly separated and recycled by type after use.

Even during production, we rely on a closed water cycle combined with renewable energy sources and high energy efficiency. This is also reflected in the quality of our products: many of our system products, such as NORIT-TE-30 Therm GF, are made from 100% recycled raw materials – ensuring resource conservation and a fully closed material cycle.

Our goal is waste-free, CO-neutral production. We are realizing this vision step by step with the highest quality standards, innovative recycling concepts, and a clear commitment to the circular economy.
