Nestled in the picturesque district of Rottal-Inn near Rossbach lies an architectural gem: a farmhouse from the 1940s currently undergoing a full core renovation. The younger generation transforming this house into their home is skillfully combining its original charm with modern comfort. A key contribution to this cozy atmosphere comes from Norit’s innovative underfloor heating system, now being discreetly integrated to provide gentle radiant warmth in the future.
One standout feature is the successful integration of our system into a glazed winter garden made of wood and glass. Here, comfort and contemporary design come together, creating a fascinating contrast between cutting-edge technology and natural aesthetics.
Our underfloor heating system, with its low profile height of just 23 mm, adapts perfectly to the demands of existing buildings. Despite challenges such as uneven subfloors and unique ceiling structures, our thin-layer heating system was installed with ease. Laid over a level base of cement-bound fill and 6 cm of soft wood fiberboard, the lightweight panels serve as a load-distributing layer. Their unique tongue-and-groove design ensures exceptional precision fitting—without the need for screws. The floor structure is completed with a vinyl floor covering, delivering a seamless and durable finish.
