In a world where we have to take more and more care of our resources, the topic of circular construction becomes more and more relevant. As our actions today determine our future, the principles of circular economy is the key to change. Sustainability has always played a major role in our company, which has been shown, amongst others, by our FSC certification, by the use of recycled raw materials and by the recommendation of the IBR (Institute for Building Biology Rosenheim, Germany). The IBR performs emissions testing according to national and international standards and confirms that our materials are pollutant-free and non-hazardous, which creates a noticeably pleasant indoor climate and an all-round sense of well-being.
For our NORIT floor solutions, we have now succeeded in developing a solution that can be fully dismantled and is made of healthy materials. The new NORIT ReTro Therm systems combine underfloor heating and dry screed made of prefabricated elements, which can be completely dismantled and recovered at the end of their usage. The gypsum fibre materials are separated after use and returned in groups of identic materials to the production cycle to serve as raw material for manufacturing new boards. During their service life, our new ReTro systems thus act as a “raw material storage” in buildings.
Both systems – NORIT ReTro Therm 35 (with a total build-up height of 35 mm) and NORIT ReTro Therm 40 (total build-up height 40 mm) – enable installation in energy-efficient renovations as well as in new constructions. The slim floor build-up allows convenient handling without introducing additional moisture into the construction project. The high fitting accuracy of the boards and the simple installation via tongue-and-groove connection ensure easy, seamless processing and quick progress on site. To include floor covering installation into the circular approach, we also offer, together with flooring and adhesive manufacturers, solutions for residue-free removal of coverings.
