The City of Dettelbach is currently renovating its administrative building, a structure built in 1899 that was originally designed as a prison and is now used for administrative purposes. Over the past decades, the building has been used in various ways – including as residential units, a municipal depot and office space for the town hall. As part of the ongoing renovation and expansion works, modern and future-proof office spaces for the municipal administration are now being created.
A key decision in the construction project was the switch from the existing conventional heating system to an energy-efficient underfloor heating system. For the town, the low installation height was particularly important, which is why the NORIT Underfloor Heating System NORIT-TE 20 Therm GF by Lindner GFT was selected. The system is ideally suited for energy-efficient refurbishment in existing buildings and enables an especially fast, clean and construction-physically safe installation.
The NORIT-TE 20 Therm GF-U is installed without screwing and features an integrated fixing guide for secure and precise positioning of the heating pipes. This ensures even heat distribution with high energy efficiency – a crucial factor for public buildings. Thanks to its precise fit, the system forms a homogeneous surface that reduces additional finishing work and significantly shortens installation time. With building material class A1, the system meets the highest fire-safety requirements and, thanks to its building-biology-tested materials, supports a sustainable and healthy interior fit-out.
